Some families search for it in the countryside during the Purísima bridge, while others know the way and eagerly await to be received with a knock at their doors.
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, we feed the Tió with fruits and vegetables, getting it ready to ‘drop’ gifts for everyone on Christmas Eve or Christmas lunch. The family gathers, the little ones give it hits with a stick while singing hopeful songs, longing for the Tió to gift toys, sweets, and delicious chocolate.
